If no steam at all is emitted from the valve, gradually increase the heat again. When
steam is discharged, keep this setting.

Opening the pressure cooker
•
Slow way of releasing the steam:
As soon as the cooking time has ended, turn off the heat and let the pressure cooker
cool down. The red cap of the safety valve goes down – clearly visible in the window.
Please note that the cooling down time should be added onto the cooking time.
•
Fast way of releasing the steam:
To speed up the evaporation and cooling-down process, you can set the control valve
to the release position ( ) and/or you can hold the closed cooker under cold, running
water.
•
Combined method:
First use the residual heat for cooking. Then release the steam in the fast way.
5.
Removing the lid
It is only possible to open the lid when the red cap of the safety valve has completely
vanished into the handle, that is, the pressure is reduced to zero. Until then, the lid is
locked with a safety mechanism.
To open the lid, hold both handles, press the release button (6) on the lid handle
downward and turn the lid handle anti-clockwise.
