FIELD ADJUSTMENT
'!he user has several methods of changing the PRIDE" settings sfter the LlIlit
has
been installed.
lhese
are described in the following sections.
USER MODIFICATION
lhe
usr can modify the undervoltage or overvoltage setpoint by changing the value of the resistors on
the Mother Board that control the settings.
Table
2
lists
the
setpoints and resistor value for each.
'!he new resistors should be metal film,
1%,
1/8
W.
Replacement Procedure

CAUTION'
P o w e r
m
be removed f rom the PRIDE before inserting o r removing
any b o a r d s .
Be s u r e t o d i s c h a r g e any s t a t i c on the b o d y o r t o o ls by
touching the o ut e r case bef o r e touching any o f the printed circuit boards.
1.
Disconnect the I;X>wer to the PRIDE.
2.
Remove the front cover.
3.
Remove the side mounting rails a.oo. printed circuit board retainer.
4.
Renove
the
Memory Board and place it on a static-free surface.
5 .
Remove connector
J3
from the Power Supply section, and
J4
from the Mother Board.
6 .
On PRIDEs with printed circuit board retainers on each corner o f the Mother Board, use a small
needle-nose pliers or flat screwdriver to s:]ueeze the retaioor tabs together, ling the board
out at each corner as you do so.
On newer PRIDEs, remove the four retaining screws at each
correr.
7 .
Remove the Mother Board by tilting it forward
and
around the four screw mOLlIlts on the case.
8.
Resistor placement is shown in Figure
15.
The Mother Board is coated with a mOisture-resistant,
conformal coating.
Carefully scrap=: away the coating surrounding the resistor leads using a
small, sharp knife, being careful not
to
damage the foil on the board.
9 .
Clip out the old resistor and discard.
10.
Remove the clipped wire using a Weller Controlled Output Soldering Station Model
MTCPL, 60
W,
120
V, 50/60 Hz
or equivalent with grounded tip, and a solder sucking syringe or solder wick.
