Preparing the Biomek NXP Instrument for Setup

To move the instrument and accessories to the site:

1

With one person on each side of the Biomek NX

P

 instrument, grasp the handhold at the rear of 

the instrument with one hand and grasp the end of the base casting with the other hand.

CAUTION

When lifting the Biomek NX

P

, grasp it only from positions on the base casting. Do 

not grasp the ends of the light curtain that extend across the front of the 

instrument.

Lift the instrument straight up using the hand positions provided in the base casting and place 
it onto a roll-around cart.

CAUTION
To prevent hands from being pinched, carefully set the back of the instrument 

down first and then lower the front.

Set the back of the instrument down first and then carefully lower the front of the instrument.

Inspect the pallet to ensure no parts, such as leveling feet, have worked loose in shipping or 
been left on the pallet.

5

Place the accessories onto a second roll-around cart.

6

Roll both carts to the installation site.
