Address Coding
•
Set the address coding for the devices (REU6100 but not for variant REU6100-X-(3XX) by
connecting the pins L, M, A, B (ground or left open).
•
This function is not used for REU6100 but necessary for ACU installation.
Therfore the ACU address coding is shown here in addition:
•
Set the address coding for the devices (ACU) in the cable-plug connector to the ACU.
•
Each ACU must have a different address:

2.7 Aircraft Wiring
The Installation of the device(s) depends on the type of aircraft and its equipment.
It is therefore only possible to give general guidelines in this section.
•
Use only cable fit for aviation (self-extinguishing).
•
AWG 20 for power supply and AWG 24 for other cables.
•
The interface lines are each to be laid as 2-core twisted and shielded
(AWG 24) cables.
•
Each single cable harness of a device connector must have separate
shielding.
•
Rubber sleeves are to be fitted over the soldering points on the device
connector.
•
A fuse or circuit breaker should be fitted in the power supply of the
REU6100 (see "Technical Data" page 23).
•
RF cable should not be included in the cable harnesses.
•
Examine the wiring carefully before turn on the devices, make sure that
(UB+) and (GND) are not mixed up.
•
The one-to-one replace of a device REU6100-X-(3XX) with a device not
REU6100-X-(3XX) and vice versa is not possible.
•
The pin assignment of connector P5 is different with the variant
REU6100-X-(3XX).
Electrical Bonding and Grounding
The REU6100 has a threaded grounding bolt at the housing. Use this point as grounding contact.
•
Make sure that the device is correctly connected to aircraft ground
(structure).
•
Make sure that the resistance between the component which ensure
equipment bonding and any point of this item of equipment do not exceed
2.5
mΩ.
