The most common user functions are accessable from the 1
st
level menu. Press
MENU/ENTER button when MPS500 to switch to the main menu. When MPS500 is in
STAND BY mode, the display shows target parameters, i.e. the values which will be
applied following switch to operate mode.
IMPORTANT: the active operating mode ( constant POWER, constant VOLTAGE or
constant CURENT ) is chosen when the “<” indicator sign is adjacent to the
corresponding value in the display.
Please ref. to Fig.4.2.1 for example of constant CURRENT mode and Fig 4.2.2 for
example of constant POWER mode.

Operating Mode parameter value is changed using the

keys or by turning the
rotary encoder to change the mod.
NOTE: The parameter changes via rotary encoder depends on the speed with which
dial is rotated. Slow rotation results in a change of the parameter by one unit of its
value, and the acceleration of the rotation causes a proportional increase in the
setting.
If the device is set to continuous mode (See chap. 4.3.5), time is not displayed on the
display - Fig. 4.2.3. In this mode, the power supply operates continuously, i.e. high
voltage is active until turned off using the “HV On/ Off” button.
