1. The steps of downloading the Bootrom by TFTP
Run s6508 system software of MSU, setup configurable enviroment as mentioned in
1.2, Connect PC’s COM port to console of primary MSU of s6508
TO finishe installation or upgradation of system software, Use following step to
download system software to MSU.
(1) Power on system, when prompt selt-test information, press ctrl+p and enter
system moniter mode.
Carry out the following command:
monitor#
copy tftp rom [ip_addr]
This command is used to download file from tftp server to upgrade bootrom, after type
command, system will prompt user enter server name and file name.
Parameter explanation:
ip-add is tftp serveripaddress.If not appoint, prompt will be shown.
For example:
Copy boot.bin on server, and wirte:
monitor#
copy tftp rom
prompt: Update bootrom is dangerous,do you want to continue(y/n)?y
