3.10 Installing the system module
3.10.1 Installing steps
(1) Choose a slot for the module.
(2) Remove the module from the choosed slot as 3.9, if there is the other module is
installed in the choosed slot.
(3) Position the module in the slot. Make sure that you align the sides of the
switching-module carrier with the slot guides on the top and bottom of the
slot.slide the module into the slot.
(4) simultaneously close the levers to fully seat the module in the backplane
connector. Tighten the two captive installation screws on the module.
avoid touching the printed circuit boards or connectors.
When Installing or removing the module,Please use ejector levers.
3.11 Connecting external interface cable
3.11.1 Notice proceeding
Distinguish correctly between single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
Avoid small curvature bend at plug.
3.11.2 Connecting Steps
(1) Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the FastEthernet interface RJ45 on the
LSU module, connect the other end of the cable to the network or to the control
terminal equipment.
(2) Plug single-mode and multi-mode fibers into corresponding interface according
the SFP modules.
(3) Plug all cables and fibers into all modules in turn.
3.12 Packing cable
3.12.1 Notice proceeding
Packing the power cable and other cables to appear orderliness.
Ensure that fiber at plug gets unforced or big curvature bend status.
