11. Operating Instructions – Prepare for Therapy

Turn On Your
HomeChoice
APD System
Follow the steps below to turn on your system.
2. Place one bag on the heater pan.
a. Place the edge of the bag against the bag
stops on the right side of the heater pan.
b. Make sure that the bag completely covers
the silver heater sensor button.

This bag remains on the heater pan
throughout the treatment.

Steps to turn on the system
1. Plug the power cord into the back of the cycler.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a
grounded electrical outlet.

NOTE:
Be sure to unplug the power cord before you move the cycler.
h
NOTE:
If your physician is using the PRO Card option, make sure that the
PRO Card is in the system before you turn it on. See Section 8,
Operating Instructions – PRO Card and Modem
, for information
regarding the PRO Card.
