Below, next to „bit-pattern at low“ click on the “...“ symbol and enter with the value
„&hFFFD“ and Ok in the window which appears.
The window closes again and the field under „bit pattern at low“ in the window „Digital in-
put link 2“ now contains the value „FFFD“.
9
Below that, next to „bit pattern at high“ click on the “...“ symbol and enter with the value
„&h0001“ and Ok in the window which appears.
The window closes again and the field under „bit pattern at high“ in the window „Digital
input link 2“ now contains the value „0001“.
With the help of the digital input 2, you can switch between the operating modes „speed
control“ and „position control“. For this purpose, apply for example DC 24 V on the digital
input 2 via usage of a switch for generating a HIGH - signal.
If the input signal alternates between low and high, the controller overwrites the value of
the high mask (associated with bit-selection mask) on the target parameter, i.e. the value
0001 on the parameter 1000. This results in the controller switching to the operating mode
„position control“. When the input signal alternates (like this) from high to low, then the
controller overwrites the value of the Low-Mask (associated with bit-selection mask) on
the target parameter i.e. the value FFFD (corresponding to -3 decimal) on the parameter
1000. This results in the controller setting the operating mode „speed control“.
Verify the change from one operating mode to another in the menu „Management/Drive
Management“.
10
In the Icon bar, click on the button Drive manager-dialog
H
.
Observe the switching over between the operating modes displayed, when you are alter-
nating between HIGH- and LOW-signals at the digital input.
11
Repeat the above steps for the inputs 1, 3 and 4, i.e. the menus „digital inputs 1, 3 and
4“
After having tested the digital inputs with successful results, turn now to the outputs.
