Do not use any accessory or spare parts that have not been recommended by the
manufacturer. These can be dangerous for the user or lead to damages of the
device or personal injury, and further, the warranty expires.
•
Protect the device from rainwater, moisture and dampness.
•
Do not move or tilt the device when in operation.
WARNING! Hazard via electrical current!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!
Before installation the local power grid specification should be compared with
that of the device (see type label).
Connect the device only in case of compliance!
Take note of the security advice!
5.2 Installation and connection
•
Unpack the device and remove all packing material.
•
Put the device in a safe, slip-resistant place that can support its weight and is not
heat sensitive.
•
Never place the device on a flammable surface.
•
Never use the device under hanging cupboards or shelves that may be damaged by
hot steam.
•
Do not place the device near sources of open flame, electric heaters, furnaces or
other sources of heat.
•
The electrical circuit must be secured to a minimum of 16A. Only connect the device
directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
•
Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly removed
from its socket in case of necessity.
5.3 Operation
Preparing the device
•
For hygiene reasons, before first use fill the device with approx. 6 litres of water, adjust
to the highest temperature and boil for approx. 5 minutes. Please read the information
in "Heating liquids".
•
Next, turn the temperature dial to the "OFF" position, remove the device’s plug from its
socket and wait for it to cool. Pour the water from the tank and rinse it with clean water,
then run the water through the spout.
