Operation
8.5 Shutting down in an emergency
NOTE
Follow the local safety regulations.
Shutting down
•
Activate the emergency off device.
The analyzer is disconnected from the power supply.
•
Close the valves in the product supply line.
•
Close the cooling medium supply line and return line valves
(not necessary with the optional
chiller
).
•
Close the instrument air and nitrogen supply line valves.
The analyzer is switched off.
CAUTION
Loss of data due to emergency off
Switching off the device with the emergency off
function can result in data loss in the device.
For this reason:
– Only use the emergency off function in genuine
emergencies.
– During normal operation, always shut the device
down first using the software function.
After the emergency

Depending on the type of fault, either rectify it yourself or have
it remedied by the manufacturer. For further information on
this, please also read the
Faults
chapter on page 113.
WARNING
Danger of death due to premature restarting
If the device is switched on again prematurely,
there is a danger of fatal injuries to all persons in
the danger area.
For this reason:
– Before switching on again, make sure that there
are no persons in the danger area.
•
Check the device before switching on again and make sure
that all safety equipment is installed and fully functional.
