Device not found
When no DHCP server is present in the local network and the device is not con
fi
gured to Static IP ad-
dressing:
•
The device will fall back to a link-local address, e.g. 169.254.x.x
•
Any other connected device in that network segment will also have a link-local address.
•
As such, communication with the device is still possible.
•
To be able to discover the device in such scenario, see "Discovery", page 23. Use any of the methods
described there to discover the link-local IP address of the device.
4.5.2.2 Managed mode
Introduction
The
Managed Mode
is enabled by
default
, and is required for operating the device in a larger system.
("Control modes", page 7 , for an overview of the operational modes.)
Enabling this by default allows a system user to con
fi
gure all devices from a central point in the system
without
fi
rst having to go to each box individually to enable managed mode, hereby defeating the concept
of having a system.
Refer to the applicable
Barco Management System Installation Guide
to operate the device in this mode.
Select
Managed Mode

) to enable the device to be managed by the system.
Automatically discover server
•
By default, this is switched
on

) and the device will automatically attempt to discover
the management server:
- If a management server is found, the device’s con
fi
guration is synchronized with the management
server and the device can be controlled by the management server.
- If no management server is found, the device will fall back to unmanaged mode.
