COLOR ALIGNMENT OF A SINGLE STAND-
ALONE PROJECTOR
CONNECTIONS
To align a single stand-alone projector, the following
connections have to be accomplished first :
u
Interconnect the ACTAS units. Please refer to
Chapter 1.
u
Connect the ACTAS system to the projector through
the ACTAS Interface unit. There are two kinds of
connections, i.e., the communication connection and
the RGB signal connection.
Communication connection between the
ACTAS Interface unit and the projector
Use one of the supplied cable with male-to-female D9
connectors :
u
Insert one end of the cable labelled 'TO PROJ.
RS232 IN' into the projector's RS232 communication
port;
u
Insert the other end of cable to the port marked as 'TO
PROJ. RS232 IN' on the ACTAS Interface unit.
The ACTAS Interface unit is in the terminal mode, the
projector is in the modem mode.
The pin out is the 'Standard' PC-AT convention :

Ring Indicator
If a cable other than the supplied is used, then it should
have at least pin numbers 2, 3, and 5 interconnected to
the corresponding pins.
RGB connection between the ACTAS
Interface unit and the projector (or video
splitter)
Use the supplied cable with 5 BNC-to-BNC connectors:
through the 'TEST PICTURE OUTPUT' (C-Sync, B, G/
Gs/Video, R) on the Interface unit to the projector's ports
for connecting sources.
