Change BeoMedia 1 password
This step is very important in order to make BeoMedia 1 as secure as possible. First thing is to enter the configuration
menu on BeoMedia 1 and select Network settings.
If a wireless network with WEP/WPA security settings is used, enter the WEP/WPA key under “WLAN key”.
The password specified by the customer needs to be entered. After doing this press <ENTER> to save the new password
(Await confirmation).
Write down the new password for later use on the client PC.
Note:
After this the keyboard and mouse on the BeoMedia 1 are no longer needed.
Note: After updating and following all the above written chapters the SERVICE menu needs to be
deactivated. To do so follow the steps according to activating/deactivating the “service menu” on page 10, or
reboot BeoMedia 1.
