1.5 System components / configuration
The APC910 system can be assembled to meet individual requirements and operating conditions. The following
components are absolutely essential for operation:

1.5.1 Configuration - Base system
The system units can be operated with and without a fan kit. This depends on the various types of heat sink and
main memory being used.
Using a fan kit allows for operation at higher ambient temperatures. More information can be found under "Maximum
ambient temperature" on page 20.
