6.3.2 Malfunctions

Ultrasonic bath cannot
be switched on ( display
remains dark) Is ultrasonic bath plugged in to
power supply? If needed, connect the ultrasonic bath to
the power supply.
Power switch correctly
activated? Check that the mains switch is in position
"I".
Defective fuses?
If needed, replace fuses, see
chapter 6.4.2
.
No activity on the display,
although the ultrasonic
bath is switched on? Defective display? Contact the manufacturer .
Blinking warning signs? Error message See chapter 6.3.1
.
Keys do not react. Key not pressed correctly? Control option: Audible signal when
pressing key.
Maximum or minimum set value
reached? Setting of parameters only within the
speci
fi ed parameter limits.
Key defective? Contact the manufacturer .
Recurring error message
Error 013 Is fl ow-through in the oscillating
tank blocked?
Control the in fl ow and out fl ow and
rectify the blockage/obstruction -
remove the rubber stoppers in the
tank's inlet and outlet, see chapter
4.1
.
If needed, the ultrasonic bath must
be
fl ushed, see chapter 6.3.2.1
.
Circulation pump defective? Check whether there is bubbling in
the tank. If not, please contact the
manufacturer.
Unsatisfactory results Degassing not conducted? Always conduct degassing during the
preparation.
Inadequate sample reagent
used? Use suitable reagent.
Wrong ultrasonic power set? Increase power.
Defective HF generator? Control option: After pressing the
[START/STOP] key, crackling noise is not
audible, time runs continuously, however.
Contact the manufacturer .
Sonication not performed long
enough? Resume/repeat procedure.
Ultrasonic bath oscillates
weakly, unevenly or
noise is too loud Degassing not conducted? Always conduct degassing during the
preparation.
Irregular sounds? No error. Slightly revise the fi ll level; if
needed, remove a few samples.
Slight erosion visible on
the bottom of the bath? Natural wear Ultrasonic bath OK.
Main fuses activated Voltage peaks (internal
