WARNING
Health hazard!
Measuring materials which are irritating, toxic,
carcinogenic, radioactive etc. represent a health hazard.
►
Remove all residual measuring material remnants
before returning, storing or disposing of the screw-in
thermometer.
CAUTION
Combustion hazard!
When installing and removing there is a risk from
escaping hazardous hot measuring materials.
►
Allow the screw-in thermometer to cool down before
removing!
►
Screw-in thermometer must be installed and
removed only when not under pressure!
Install the screw-in thermometer such that the permissible
operating temperature (ambient, measuring material) is
neither too hot nor too cold taking into account convection
and thermal radiation.

Installation
Specifications for the threaded mounting holes can be
found in DIN 3852 and for NPT threads in ANSI B 1.20.
Sealing
To seal the process connections with round threads at the
sealing surface (see Fig. 5) use flat gaskets, sealing lenses.
For tapered threads (e.g. NPT threads) seal the threads
using for example PTFE tape (EN 837-2).
