Fine Adjustment of End Points

Note: If endpoints are out of range, go through this procedure or the unit may go into signal fault mode.
Use if Endpoints are not exactly 4mA or 20mA (tol/- .05 mA).
1. Remove cover locking screw.
2. Unscrew Balluff BTL7 cover.
3. Install Calibration tool. See Figure 37.
4. Stroke actuator to within measuring range. Approximately 50% is good.
5. Hold down the gray button
for at least 4 seconds (put into Adjust mode).
6. Stroke actuator to bring magnet to the top near the head of the Balluff.
7. Hold down the blue button
for at least 2 seconds (set the head of the Balluff as 4mA).
8. If reading outside of allowable tolerance (example 4.5mA), push the blue button
to lower the mA reading
or push the gray button
to increase the mA reading.
9. Stroke actuator to bring magnet to the bottom.
10 Hold down the gray button
for at least 2 seconds (set bottom end as 20mA).
11. If reading outside of allowable tolerance (example 4.5mA), push the blue button
to lower the mA reading
or push the gray button
to increase the mA reading.
12. Briefly press the blue and gray
&
buttons at the same time for less than 1 second to end
Fine Adjustment mode.
13. Replace Balluff Cover and Cover Locking Screw when complete.
