Note: To change the direction of the 4-20mA signal, adjust Dip Switch #2 located on the electronic
module. When Dip Switch #2 is down or off, the 20mA signal is generated at the maximum length
(end of the shaft). The reverse is true when the switch is in the up position.

Insert the analog programming tool

Set the Transmitter to the Program Mode. Press the Blue button and hold for four seconds

Press the Blue and Gray button and hold for four seconds

Press the Blue button and hold for four
seconds.

Move the valve to the Top Position (The Position Magnet will be close to the transmitter body).
Press the Blue button and hold for four sec
onds.
5.
Move the Valve to the Bottom Position (The Position Magnet will be close to the end of the shaft).
Press the Grey button and hold for four seconds.
6.
Release the transmitter from the Program Mode. Press the Blue and Gray button and hold for six
seconds. Press the Blue button and hold for one second.
7.
Remove the analog programming tool from the transmitter

Calibrating the Linear Position Transmitter BTL5
1.
Open and close the valve manually using the pneumatic controller such as Becker MCV;
Check the FDBK reading at the DNGP. When the valve moves and the DNGP reads around 4 mA at one
extreme and around 20 mA at the other extreme, you are ready to calibrate.
