Water circulation Pump
Optional UV System
The optional UV System is designed to reduce bacterial growth, and it is fully-integrated
into the Nexus cooler and iPilot Control System. Before performing any maintenance,
follow the proper lockout / tagout procedures.
Water circulation Pump
•
Quarterly, ensure that the water circulation pump remains clean and free of dirt or debris.
•
When disassembling any component of the UV system, the power to the system must be
disconnected and the Nexus sump must be fully drained.

Drain Valve
• Quarterly, ensure that the water circulation pump remains clean and free of dirt or
debris.
• When disassembling any component of the UV system, the power to the system must
be disconnected and the Nexus basin must be fully drained.
• The pump body and volute can be separated by unscrewing the brass collar that joins
the pump and volute sections.
• Inspect the impeller for damage and debris.
• Lift the rotor/impeller unit to ensure it is free of foreign matter.
– Be sure to lift the rotor/impeller unit straight out of the motor cavity to prevent
damage to the bearing support.
– There will be a magnetic force resisting removal of the rotor/impeller.
– Use gentle, but steady lifting forces, and use fingers only. Do not pry up rotor/
impeller unit with a screwdriver.
