5 Installation 

 

NOTE

 Risk of dirt and foreign objects in the device! 

Functional safety and reliability may be compromised. 

 

During assembly, make sure and check that there is no dirt or foreign objects in the device (e.g. 
small particles, sealing material). 

1.  Remove the screw cap/sealing plug from the media connection [MC]. 

2.  Screw the female thread in the connection cover (4) to the pipe for the media supply. 

NOTE 

There is a risk of damage to the thread if the tightening torque applied for the threaded 

connection between the connection cover and the pipe is excessive! 

 

The tightening torque value for the threaded connections between the connection cover and 
pipe depends on the material of the pipe for the media supply. 

3.  Tighten the threaded connection between the connection cover and the pipe using an open-ended 

wrench or adjustable pliers wrench, as shown in 

Picture 5.2-8
