2.3 Connecting Analog Terminal
Equipment
FRITZ!X USB has been tested and CE-certified in accordance
with European Union directives. All analog telecommunication
devices with CE certification can be connected to its
extensions.
To connect analog terminal devices such as telephones, fax
machines, answering machines or modems, proceed as
follows:
z
Insert the RJ12 plug of the adapter into one of the four
extension sockets of FRITZ!X USB.
To connect the terminal devices by means of the cable clips,
please note the following:
z
The wire diameter must be 0.5 to 1 mm.
z
Strip the insulation from the wire to expose a length of
10mm of cable.
To connect a cable, press back the orange lever, insert a wire
and release the lever. Repeat the procedure with the second
wire of the cable.
