Print Registration Sensor
Web Position Adjustment
If you are running sense mark media with a hole, slot, or preprinted mark for
registration - the registration sensor web position must be adjusted for the sense mark
media being run. The type of sensor mark registration is selected in PC Mate Plus -
Label Design Menu (attributes).
Hole Registration
1) Move the stock until the registration hole or slot desired is under the sensor and
over the red LED.
2) Adjust the sensor block assembly using the sensor knob while looking at the
sensor LED on the front panel. When the LED turns on with the registration
sensor over the media in the vicinity of the hole
/
slot, and stays on, the sensor is
over the registration hole or slot.
3) The front panel has a calibrating sensor main menu. Press the mode button until
Calibrating Sensors is showing up on the display panel then Press the enter button.
Press the mode button; the first two menu tasks will set the sensor range with the
sensor open and then blocked, (See Front Panel Menu Map in this manual).
If your machine stops, for no apparent reason, while it is in the middle of printing a
batch, you may be missing sense marks (three consecutive tickets in a row in which a
sense mark was not found). Check for the following:
- The front panel will display an error message indicating that there has been a
missed sensor.
1) Check that the web guides have been positioned properly - both on the unwind
and web guide assembly.
2) Compare the actual feed length of the sense mark stock being run with the feed
length set in PC Mate Plus.
3) Repeat the sensor alignment procedure.
Reflective Registration
1) Move the stock by opening the feed roller and print head and moving the material
until the printed mark desired is under the sensor. The LED will be turned off.
2) Adjust the sensor block assembly using the sensor knob while looking at the
sensor LED on the front panel. When the LED turns on with the registration
sensor over the media in the vicinity of the reflective mark, and stays on, the
sensor is over the reflective mark.
3) The front panel has a calibrating sensor main menu. Press the mode button until
Calibrating Sensors is showing up on the display panel then Press the enter button.
Press the mode button; the third and fourth menu tasks will set the sensor range
with the sensor open and then blocked, (See Front Panel Menu Map in this
manual).
