REPLACING FAILED DRIVES

This section describes how to detect and replace a faulty drive on an FXT Series node.

5.1 Identifying a Failed Data or System Drive

If a drive fails, an alert appears on the Avere Control Panel dashboard.

The informational message indicates that the drive is missing or has failed. Click

Node Settings

to see the status of

the FXT 5000 Series node that includes the drive. Avere Control Panel loads the

FXT Nodes

page for the cluster.

Find the affected node in the list and click its name to show its

Node Details

page.
