Chapter 3: Updating Hardware
Hardware update may be required to add Media Processing Cards (MPCs) or to integrate the
system with switched circuits.
Switched Circuit Integration (optional)
This section presents the hardware features, installation, and configuration procedures for an
optional board, which enables S6x00 servers to process incoming calls from switched circuit
networks. Once AudioCodes’ TP-260/SIP board is added to the S6200 Application Server,
customers can easily integrate existing PSTN T1/E1 users into their IP network.
Overview
The AudioCodes’ TP-260/SIP is a PCI Board that may be installed in the S6200 media server to
act as a gateway. When installed, the board occupies one 3V3 PCI Signaling, 64 bit universal
PCI expansion resource slot. This board draws power from the Server PCI slot.
