Preference for Directory Contacts Search
By default XT endpoint searches contacts in a Global Directory only when a few digits of the name
are inserted (manual search).
In this release it is possible to customize the XT endpoint to show a number of Directory contacts
(from a remote LDAP server), without starting a specific manual search.
This corresponds to an automatic search for "any" contact (up to 300 contact entries will be
returned). The returned contacts will be merged with Favorites contacts (when the remote LDAP
server is Avaya Equinox® Management/Scopia
®
Management or another XT Series Endpoint).

Important
Please note that when the remote LDAP server hosting the Directory is on a slow
connection, "Manual" search mode can greatly improve the search speed. The search
will begin only when a few letters are inserted in the search field.
