Operation
Auxiliary attachment (Option)
To select the auxiliary equipment operation use the Tele/Aux switch. The auxiliary equipment can be
controlled with the potentiometer (Aux/Adjust) of the remote control or with the y direction of the right
joystick (K2), when the rocker switch is down (K2B). The mode selection switch must be in position 2, the
Boom mode (middle).
The auxiliary equipment and the telescope use the same valves and therefore cannot be controlled at the
same time. A selection valve in the machine is used to select which one is to be controlled.
Before activating the auxiliary equipment with the Tele/Aux switch, both the joysticks and the
potentiometer, if used for controlling, must be centred. In addition, the Hold switch must not be on;
otherwise the auxiliary equipment will not be activated.
Parallel drive, excavation function (Parallel)
Parallel running of the rear and main booms is turned on and off using the Parallel switch. When the parallel
run is on and when steering the rear boom backwards, the main boom is also automatically controlled
downwards at the same time at the same speed. When the rear boom is steered forward, the main boom is
steered upwards at the same speed.
The main boom can also be controlled separately in the parallel run mode with the joystick, as usual.
Hold function
The Hold function is used for locking the boom and tool controls. The Hold function is activated by turning
the Hold switch to the up position, whereupon the boom control function of the movement remains, even if
the joysticks are centered. This function is deactivated by turning the Hold switch to the down position and
centring the sticks.
The function is used, for example, to lock the drill hammer usage. Only the boom and tool control can be
locked with the Hold function. The control of auxiliary equipment cannot be locked with the Hold function.
In the Boom+Track and Drive modes, the Hold function is prevented.
The Safety relay, a general fault in the system, or a motor shut down deactivates the Hold function and stops
all the controls automatically.
When the Hold function is active, the hammer control can be changed by adjusting the position of the
potentiometer (Aux/Adjust).
If the hold switch is on the upper position during start up, the boom movents are not active. Turn the hold
function switch to lower position to activate the booms.
Note! Careless use of the Hold function may cause serious danger. Always ensure safe usage, before turning
on the Hold function.
After turning on the Hold function, monitor the machine’s operation continuously and be ready to turn off
the Hold function immediately, if something unexpected happens.
Never take off or move the remote control to the side, when you are using the Hold function! As the user
of the machine, you are responsible for the operation of the operation.
