Special Placement Requirements (DL230 and Remote I/O Bases)

It is important to examine the configuration if a DL230 CPU is being used with a multi-

plexing program. As can be seen in the section on

Writing the Control Program

, V-memory

locations are used to capture the analog data. If the module is placed in a slot so that either the

input or the output points do not start on a V-memory boundary, the program instructions

aren’t able to access the data. This also applies when placing this module in a remote base

using a D2-RSSS in the CPU slot.
