TO REPLACE THE FLASHCARD IN A HIPAK (Software upgrade)
The Compact Flashcard containing the software is fitted into a communications slot in the side of
the Power Panel (screen).
To access this, first disconnect the power supply and remove the four screws in the front of the
metal enclosure taking great care not to allow the enclosure to fall.
Lift the panel forward to expose the side of the unit.
Locate the clip that is across the slot and slide this to one side then press the black button next to the
Flashcard to release it.
Take note of the orientation of the card and ensure that the new one is fitted the same way – it is
made to only fit the correct way so do not force it in.
After replacing the flashcard, re-assembly is a reversal of the dismantling procedure.
When switched back on, the boot-up screen will briefly show the software version number at the
top.
