Periodic
Maintenance
Operations
Oil level of the power take-off (fig.1)
To check the oil level in the transfer box, place the machine on level ground. Remove plug (2) to
see if the oil is just below this level hole. Add oil if necessary trough plug (1).
To drain the oil, unscrew the plug at the bottom of this box.
Oil level on driving axles
To check the oil level on the axles, place the machine on level ground.
Differential gear (fig. 2 and 3); To drain the oil, unscrew plug (2), below differential box.
-To check the oil level, remove plugs (1) to see if the oil is just below this hole.
-Fill with oil through these plugs (1).
Oil level on wheel reduction gear (fig.4)
Check the oil level and fill through the arrowed plug. Previously turn the hub until the words “Oil
stand- Oil level” are in horizontal position.
To drain the oil turn the hub until the plug is in the lowest position and remove it.
CAUTION:
To prevent serious injuries, do not remove the plug on the lowest position to drain the oil when
this is warm.
Hydraulic oil level and filter (fig.5)
With the forklift on level ground, the engine stopped and the forks at the lowest position, check
the hydraulic oil level by means of the dipstick (1). The normal level is at the upper mark of the
dipstick.
Top up if necessary through this dipstick filling hole.
The hydrostatic oil filter is assembled on the hydraulic circuit, outside the hydraulic tank and is
located under the cab floor.
The cartridge has to be replaced periodically (see maintenance chart). There is a clogging indi-
cator on the filter. The arrow has to remain into the green or yellow zone. If it is into the red zone,
replace the cartridge as soon as possible.
Inside the oil tank, there is another metallic gauge filter for suction functions. It has to be remo-
ved and cleaned periodically.
To drain the hydraulic oil tank removes the drain plug at the bottom rear of the tank.
See maintenance chart for hydraulic oil specificactions and for recommended change intervals.
ATTENTION:
The oil tank has a low level warning device. With a low oil level a warning light will be lit on the
dashboard and an acoustical signal will warn the driver. Add oil inmediately to prevent any dama-
ge on the hydraulic pumps.
