Connecting via plug/socket connector with screw-type terminals (KP, KPH)
Before mains connection

Check whether type of current, supply voltage, and frequency comply
with motor data (refer to name plate at motor).
Opening the terminal compartment
1. Loosen screws (2) and remove cover (1).
The terminal compartment (4) is designed for explosion protection EEx e
(increased safety). The flameproof compartment (type of protection EEx
d) remains hereby closed.
2. Insert cable glands with EEx e approval and of size suitable for connect-
ing cables.
The enclosure protection IP… stated on the name plate is only ensured
if suitable cable glands are used.
3. Seal cable entries which are not used with suitable plugs.
4. Insert the wires into the cable glands.
