Base Selection
If you have more than one COMfortel DECT 650C, a handset can be registered to up to 4 different
base units in order to extend the radio coverage. This menu option allows you to select the base
you want to use, provided that the handset has been previously registered with it as per
Registering a New Handset on page 136

You can also select Best Base. In this case the handset will automatically find the first available
base unit when you lose contact while moving around.
Registering a New Handset
If you have more than one COMfortel DECT 650C, you can register to the same base additional
handsets (up to 4 in total) in order to share the same line with other people. To do that you should
assign a number to each new handset you will register. As you know, the supplied handset is
already registered with the number 1, in fact it shows HS(1). For security reasons, the registration
procedure can be done only by people who are nearby your base and know the base PIN which
acts as phone's authentication code.
MENU
Press the MENU soft key to display the main
menu items.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 4.Advanced, then press the SELECT
soft key.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 3.Select Base, then press the SELECT
soft key.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to select
the base you want (the current base appears
first), then press the SELECT soft key.
Press the end/on/off key to return to Standby
mode.
