Enabling/Disabling Charging Beep
As explained in
chapter Charging the Handset Batteries on page 90
, every time you place the hand-
set on the base, a beep is sent. This beep confirms that the handset is being charged. You can
change the sound of the charging beep by selecting Type1 or Type2 or, for a silent use, switch it
OFF.

When possible, we recommend to set the charging beep to Type1 or Type2. This will make the use
of the phone easier and avoid the risk to wrongly place the handset in the charging slot. In this case
the handset is not being charged, but you couldn't notice it.
For a complete silent use, you might decide to also switch the key beep tone off as explained in
chapter Setting Key Beep on page 124
MENU
Press the MENU soft key to display the main
menu items.
SELECT
Press the navigation keys to choose 2.Sound,
then press the SELECT soft key.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 4.Charging Beep, then press the
SELECT soft key.
SELECT
Press the navigation keys to select between
OFF, Type1 and Type2, then press the
SELECT soft key to save the setting.
Press the end/on/off key to return to Standby
mode.
