If a DTMF telephone is connected to the PSTN connection point LINE of C

, it is
possible to access to the special services by means of the

Number sign-Asterisk) dialling digits. Type this sequence on the telephone after having lift
the receiver, if the tone is free. If the entered command is valid, C

L
INE
®
will repeatedly
generate a double tone (ON-100ms OFF-100ms ON-100ms OFF-2000ms). If the command is
not accepted, it will generate an error tone (ON-100ms OFF-100ms ON-100ms OFF-100ms ...)
ATTENTION: after having chosen a special service it is necessary to wait for 3-4 seconds
before attempting a new call with C

5.1.1 RF field reading

polling the GMS communicator. The procedure stops when the receiver is hung up.
ATTENTION: after having typed the sequence to check the field level, hang up and wait for
at least 5 seconds.
5.1.2 End of selection timeout

Single numeric digit which shall express the interdigit time in seconds in
order to cause the selection to end. Admitted values range from 3 to 9. Default value is 5s.
5.1.3 On-Hook timeout

Numeric field composed by four digits. It is intended to express in
milliseconds the time which shall pass after the receiver has been hung up to cause an on-
hook event. The field shall always be expressed with four digits. Admitted values shall range
from 0200 to 1000. The resolution of this parameter is 20ms. Default value = 200ms.
This parameter may be changed to recognise particularly long flash pulses.
