Once the tonearm has been installed, final adjustment of the suspension can be
performed. (The suspension is adjusted at the factory, but this setup can move
during transit).
First, install the platter and belt. The belt must run over all three motor pulleys:
The belt should settle at the centre of the platter’s edge, all the way around the
circumference of the platter. If this is the case once the belt and platter have been
installed, then simply check that the platter is level with a spirit level (both from front
to back and left to right) and if so, the suspension set up is complete and you can
install the cartridge.
If the belt does not run at the centre of the platter’s edge, or if the platter is not level
when tested with a spirit level, then some adjustment of the suspension is required.
