2. Introduction to The Virtual Cabinet
given controller configuration.
Below is an example of the connection for mode one and two for testing
controllers.
Mode three and four are for testing SIU or BIU devices:
3. TS2 Virtual Controller Emulator
Connects to an SDLC port of a BIU device. TVC-3800 sends SDLC
frames (acting as controller), and processes response frames back to the
TVC-3800. Runs a full simulation of all frames that could be sent to TF
BIU's, DR BIU's, and MMU on the same timing schedule as TS2
Controller. To monitor this virtual cabinet, TVC-3800 is connected to a
PC running the user interface software. Through the interface software,
the user can change frame schedule and if the frame is valid or
corrupted(Bad CRC). This allows the user to monitor the BIU Device
"reaction" to various frame types.
The software can be operated in one of two modes. In Continuous
mode the TVC-3800 will continue to run through selected frame
schedule until stop button is pressed. In Timed mode, the user enters a
specified amount of time for the schedule to run, and then the software
generates a pass fail result base on if there were any errors detected.
4. ATC Virtual Controller Emulator
Connects to an SDLC port of a SIU device. TVC-3800 sends SDLC
frames (acting as controller), and processes response frames back to the
TVC-3800. Runs a full simulation of all frames that could be sent to
Input/Output functionality SIU's or CMU's on the same timing schedule
as ATC Controller. To monitor this virtual cabinet, TVC-3800 is
connected to a PC running the user interface software. Through the
interface software, the user can change frame schedule and if the frame
is valid or corrupted(Bad CRC). This allows the user to monitor the
