Section : 3 Controller Electrical Connections
3.1
General Guidelines
ATS-LV 1000
controller
requires
a regulated 24 VDC connection from an external supply (not
provided) to work properly.
WARNING:
Don’t
connect AC power cables to the
ATS-LV 1000
controller.
Important Notes:
•
All electrical installations must be supervised by a qualified and responsible electrician.
•
Use wiring practices that conform to all national, international and local electrical codes.
•
Do not put sensor cables or instrument 4-20 mA output wires in the same conduit that
contains AC power wires. AC power wires require a separate conduit to prevent electrical
noise from interfering with the instrumentation signals.
3.2
Power
A 24 VDC power supply must be used to power the
ATS-LV 1000
controller. The exact
connection of this power supply is shown in the given image in this section. Always separate
input DC power from high power sources, frequency drives, motors or other electrical signal
wires which may contribute noise to a system and cause disturbance in reading.
ATS-LV 1000
controller has the power polarity protection which means if +ve power supply is connected to
-ve connection of controller, it will not cause any malfunctioning of controller however it will
not power on the controller. Make sure input DC power is stable, noise free and non-
fluctuating.
Note:
Power wire size range: 12-24 AWG (0.205-3.31 mm
2
), Wire stripe length: 7-8mm
