First time installation
Before installing the device, please adhere to all safety procedures described below, Atop will not be held liable
for any damages to property or personal injuries resulting from the installation or overall use of the device
.
Do not
attempt to manipulate the product in any way if unsure of the steps described here

contact your dealer immediately
.
1.
Prepare the necessary cables, DC adapter, power cord, LAN cable, serial cable, etc; do not connect the unit
yet
.
2.
Install both antennas to the SMA connectors
(
gold connectors
)
in the front panel of SW550X device
.
Note
that the antenna
’
s connectors are female reverse
-
polarity
(
RP
)
SMA type
.
The gains of the antennas are
3dBi at 2
.
4GHz and 5dBi at 5GHz
.
Once installed the device to a rail
or your desired location, do not put
them parallel otherwise their signal will interfere with each other
.

.
3.
Plug the power source to the unit, starting from the ground
(

You will hear a long beep with all LEDs turn on and after a few second you will hear
a shot beep twice and the RUN LED will start blinking slowly
.
If the device

s wireless interface is working
properly, the WLAN LED will also turn on and start blinking once in a while
.
Device
’
s STATUS LEDs will also
start running too from bottom LED to the top LED
.

Note that although internal grounding has been done inside, in order to ensure overall maximum
performance and protection of your device it is strongly advised to properly connect the grounding
.
Please
choose only one of the grounding connections either connecting the ground to the screw on the power
panel or to the Frame Ground

5.
Place the device in the desired location, which is dry and free from dirt or corrosive vapors, and connect it
to a LAN via an Ethernet cable with an RJ45 connector
.
6.
Connect your computer to the LAN network
