4.3.7 Hardware Watchdog Timer
There is a hardware watchdog I C on each C PU board . I f this I C is not rese t within 1.6 seconds, then the
sys tem will reboot . This implementation allows the hardware to autonomously unders tand if t he sys tem is crashing,
for whateve r reason. During a System crash, the OS won’t rese t the I C within the deadline and the refore the
sys tem will automatically reboot . . All SE59XX hardware platforms do have an integ rated hardware watchdog timer .
