8.2 Replacement of the monouse or
rechargeable CO
2
bottle
When gas is over, the device starts dispensing less
carbonated water and with a very reduced flow, so it is
necessary to replace the CO
2
bottle.
It is possible to use monouse or rechargeable bottles;
the monouse can be utilized once; the rechargeable can
be refilled and used again and usually they have a bigger
content and autonomy.
8.2.1 Replacement of the monouse
bottle
Unhook the bottle (fig. 8.1) from its support binder and
with one hand clutch the pressure reducer and with the
other hand the bottle and unscrew it until it comes out
from the reducer.
Screw the new bottle on the pressure reducer by keeping it
vertical; near the end it is possible to hear a gas leakage
which will disappear with the complete blockage of the
bottle into the pressure reducer.
Position the bottle in its place and block it with the proper
chain belt.
If the gas leakage does not end, lock strongly the bottle
to the reducer or replace the sealing gasket. Do not expose
hands or any other part of the body to the gas because it
could cause freeze burns.
8.2.2 Replacement of the rechargeable
bottle
Close the upper hand wheel of the bottle
(fig.8.2 - n°1) by turning it clockwise until
it is completely locked.
Unscrew the hexagonal ring nut (
n°2
) which
couples the reducer to the bottle by using a
28mm adjustable spanner; check the status
of the gasket and if it is necessary, replace it.
CAUTION
Do not expose hands or any other
part of the body to the gas be-
cause it could cause freeze burns.
