Maintaining the air filter
Warning
There is a fire and explosion risk due to cleaning agents.
► Never clean the air filter with flammable solvents.
For this, observe the attached operating instructions of the
engine.
Checking the drive
1. Place the device on a surface with a good grip (e.g. con-
crete or asphalt).
2. Switch on the engine.
3. Select a low forward speed.
4. Actuate the safety lever – device starts moving.
5. Try to stop the device.
If you cannot stop the device, the drive is set correctly. If you
can stop the device, the drive must be readjusted.
1
Readjusting the drive
Turn out the adjusting screw (
1
) on the drive until the device
can no longer be stopped by hand when the drive is actu-
ated. If there is no improvement after the adjustment, have
the device checked by an authorised service centre.
Checking coupling for working tool
Check the function of the coupling by disengaging the work-
ing tool. The working tool must stop from full speed within a
few seconds. Contact an authorised service centre if this is
not the case.
Adjusting the coupling of the working tool
2
If the working tool is not driven correctly during operation, the
V-belt tension can be readjusted.
Turn out the adjusting screw (
2
) on the coupling lever only so
far that there is sufficient drive power for the working tool
when the coupling lever is actuated and the V-belt does not
slip.
Check the function of the coupling for the working tool.
If there is no improvement after the adjustment or if the work
tool does not stop within a few seconds, have the device
checked by an authorised service centre.
Checking the parking brake
Warning
If the parking brake is incorrectly adjusted, the device can
roll away.
► Make sure that the parking brake is always functioning
properly.
1. Place the device on a surface with a good grip (e.g. con-
crete or asphalt).
2. Switch off the engine.
3. Activate the parking brake.
4. Actuate both steering levers.
5. Try to pull the device backwards.
If the left rear wheel locks, the parking brake is set correctly.
If the device can be pushed, the parking brake must be read-
justed by an authorised service centre.
