8.2.1.1 Installation Script
The installation script
./SsfPCIE-7207SetupOnEL7.sh
performs the following things:
1. Installs dependent packages. For more information about dependent packages, refer to
Table "List of SSF and Dependent RPMs for Host" on page 99 .
2. Changes firewall configuration to allow SSF communication messages. For more
information about firewall configuration settings, refer to the section Firewall
Configuration on page 104 .
3. Installs SSF RPMs. For more information about SSF RPMs, refer to Table "List of SSF and
Dependent RPMs for Host" on page 99 .
8.2.1.1.1 Firewall Configuration
If the Firewall configuration is in enable mode at the time of installation, the installation script
automatically enables https (443) protocol (for SSF's web access) and SSF specific ports 11110
and 11120 (for internal communication of SSF) and then proceeds with SSF installation.
If the Firewall configuration is in disable mode at the time of installation, the installation script
only performs the SSF installation. After the SSF installation, for SSF to work properly, you have
to perform the following changes manually:
1. Enable https (443) protocol.
firewall-offline-cmd --zone=public --add-port=443/tcp --
permanent
firewall-offline-cmd --zone=public --add-port=443/udp --
permanent
2. Enable SSF specific ports 11110 and 11120.
firewall-offline-cmd --zone=public --add-port=11110/tcp --
permanent
firewall-offline-cmd --zone=public --add-port=11120/tcp --
permanent
The installation script changes the firewall settings automatically only when the
firewall configuration is in enable mode at the time of installation.
