In case when ipmitool reports “ Firmware upgrade procedure failed ” message, power cycle the
system, and evaluate the firmware revision of the firmware component just programmed (for
more details refer to
Obtaining Revisions of Firmware Components on page 131 , and if the
revision programmed is not performed before, repeat the firmware upgrade procedure. If
subsequent CPLD firmware upgrade fails, contact your local Artesyn executive.
A.1.3.2 BMC FW Upgrade Failed
In such a case, power cycle the system and repeat the firmware upgrade. If subsequent BMC
firmware upgrade fails, contact your local Artesyn executive.
A.1.3.3 BMC Cannot Be Accessed Via IP address
In case the BMC is not accessible via its IP address anymore there is a possibility to set the BMC
to its factory defaults by pressing the reset button at the IO module (the BMC will automatically
reboot).
After the reboot, you can access the BMC via the IP 192.168.201.9, username admin and
password admin . The DHCP will be in Off mode.
