3 MAINTENANCE
3.1 General guidelines
Maintenance shall be carried out to ensure the module fault-free performance and
instant readiness for use.
The maintenance entities are:
−
ACM-IP2.1;
−
the condition and connection of cables connected to the product.
Maintenance shall be performed by personnel in charge of maintaining ACM-IP2.1.
Maintenance shall be performed once a year without switching off power.
3.2 Safety precautions
The product ensures the safety of maintenance personnel and meets safety
requirements according to GOST IEC 61140-2012 for class III.
During maintenance of the product, comply with the safety precautions stated in
“Occupational safety rules when operating electrical installation”.
Also observe safety precautions given in 2.2 during maintenance.
3.3 Maintenance procedure
Maintenance includes the following activities::
−
when ACM-IP2.1 is installed in the communication cabinet, open the cabinet,
make sure that there is no moisture inside, visually inspect the module, if
necessary clean the connectors and module from dust using an air jet. Debris
removed during air purging must not get onto other units;
−
visual inspection of the ACM-IP2.1 housing for mechanical damage (cracks,
dents, etc.) on the enclosure, buttons and switches;
−
visual inspection of cables coming to ACM-IP2.1. They must not be crimped,
have bending (bending radius must be at least five cable diameters) or have
damages of outer sheath;
−
check for cable connection reliability to ACM-IP2.1 — cables should not be
tensioned;
−
check operability of ACM-IP2.1 according to 3.4.
