In order to ensure fire safety, observe the following rules:
−
before connecting the product to the power supply, make sure the power and
communication cables are properly insulated;
−
protect power and communication cables from damage.
2.3 Preparation for use
Preparation of the ACM-IP2.1 for use shall be carried out by the manufacturer’s
representatives, or personnel trained to operate Armtel LLC products. The main preparation
of the product for use is carried out during installation and connection.
ACM-IP2.1 is prepared for operation in several steps:
−
removing ACM-IP2.1 from the shipping container and/or consumer package;
−
checking the scope of supply of ACM-IP2.1 according to product passport;
−
visual inspection of the device for damage (cracks, dents, chips, etc). During
visual inspection, pay attention to the integrity of the product, condition of
connectors, buttons, switches (all buttons/switches shall be easy to press and
must easily return to the original position);
−
check settings of Offset lines 5…8, Offset lines 1…4 and CP switches as per 1.5.1;
−
connect the product to a PC, on which RU.RMLT.00041-01 IPN2 System
Configuration Software Tool is installed, and to the power supply, set the IP
address for operation on a shared network or turn on the DHCP. To do it, the
connection to a PC via an IP network can be used. The product may be powered
by a PoE plus injector or a 48 VDC external power supply.
Note
— During manufacturing, each ACM-IP2.1 is assigned with the identical IP-
address by default: 192.168.100.10, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. If DHCP is turned on, the
product is automatically assigned an IP address when connecting to a shared network.
ATTENTION! DEVICES WITH THE SAME IP ADDRESSES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON
THE SAME NETWORK. THE IP ADDRESS MUST BE SET BEFORE CONNECTING TO
THE SHARED NETWORK.
−
enter a record on the set IP address or DHCP in the “Special notes” section
of the product passport;
−
disconnect from power supply and PC;
−
install and connect the ACM-IP2.1 at the operating site (see 2.4).
