Note
Observe all instructions provided by the manufacturer
of the accessories.
Warning
Be sure to adjust the required flow according to the
instructions provided by the manufacturer of the CPAP
helmet to avoid accidental CO
2
rebreathing.
Note
Depending on their design, CPAP helmets may require
a specific minimum pressure when applied on a
patient.
Warning
When using CPAP helmets with hypercapnic patients,
close monitoring is recommended for adjustment of the
required flow and to avoid CO
2
rebreathing.
The approved CPAP helmets are specified in chapter 10.2 Accessories.
Please refer to chapter 1.1 About this manual for details.
4.10 Placement of the device
There are two options for placing the AquaVENT
®
FD140:
on a medical equipment rail
on a cart specially developed for the AquaVENT
®
FD140
A bracket on the back of the AquaVENT
®
FD140 can be mounted vertically
or horizontally as needed. Use the hex key, which is supplied with the
AquaVENT
®
FD140, to loosen and fix the bracket.
Note
Ensure that the device is securely fixed at its place of
use.
Caution
Ensure that the mains plug of the AquaVENT
®
FD140 is
readily accessible at all times and that the device can be
disconnected from the mains in an emergency.
