Use ArjoHuntleigh loop slings with the 2-point loop bar.
To Lift from a Chair
(7 steps)

Lean the resident forward if necessary.

Slide the sling down the resident’s back until seam

reaches the base of the spine.

Attach the shoulder loops to the hooks

Take attachment points

and loop the leg pieces of the
sling underneath the resident’s thighs.

Alt 1 Straight leg attachment
Attach leg pieces to the same side hook

as the shoulder
attachment (left straps to left hook and right straps to right
hook).

Alt 2 Crossed leg attachment
Bring the loops in a cross formation between the thighs.
Attach the leg pieces to the “opposite side” hooks (A) of the

Make sure the sling pieces are not twisted underneath the
resident.
Once the sling has been positioned and attached securely to
the loop bar then lifting can be carried out using the hand
control.

To avoid entrapment of the residents or caregivers
legs or feet, make sure that they are kept clear of all
obstacles.
WARNING
To avoid entrapment, make sure to keep the
residents hair, arms and feet close to the body and
use designated grab supports during any
movement.

To avoid the resident falling, make sure that
sling clips or loops are securely attached before
as well as during the lifting initiation.
