Straight Leg Attachment (2 Steps)

For most residents, it is recommended to use the straight 
attachment of the leg clips/loops.

Keep the leg straps straight.

Attach the leg clips/loops so that the leg straps are 
positioned vertically. 

(See Fig. 1)

Crossed Leg Attachment (2 Steps)

If the resident is prone to kicking, the crossed leg attachment of 
the clips/loops must be applied. This prohibits the leg clips/loops 
from detachment due to kicking and prevents the resident from 
possible injury. This method holds the legs apart and offers better 
access for cleaning, toiletting or similar. This method may offer 
extra support for amputees or residents with special conditions.
