ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The BioCompPX is equipped as standard with a heat exchanger pump and automatic soot re-
moval; these are already connected in the connection box. In addition, a flue gas fan is included
in the standard equipment. The fan is installed at the back of the boiler and is controlled by the
burner's control panel, setting Fan 2/Air 2.
The control panel has a display and adjustment dial
The BioComp master controller has the following functions:
•
The display shows the operating mode and current boiler temperature. Explanatory texts
roll on the display every 5 seconds.
•
To use the adjustment dial, press or turn.
•
Turn it to toggle through the menu or other values when making an adjustment.
•
One press makes a selection or saves in the menu.
•
To exit the menu, hold the button pressed in for 4 seconds.
Example:
Switching on the boiler. One press makes the panel ask "Start?" Another press means
you confirm, and the burner starts.
If you turn one step clockwise instead, you jump to the main menu and come to "Start
T". Turn further to arrive at "Stop T", "User menu" and "Back" respectively.
Start T: This is where you set the desired start temperature.
Stop T: This is where you set the desired stop temperature.
User menu: This is where you adjust the time and temperature settings.
To be able to perform more advanced settings it is necessary to enter the settings menu,
as described under “Settings” on page 13. Note that it is necessary to enter access code
21 to get access to these settings.
The burner is lit using a hot air element when the boiler temperature is less than the
temperature selected in the main menu. The start procedure takes place completely au-
tomatically in several steps to provide fast and almost smoke free ignition.
When the boiler temperature has increased by 2-5
°C
, the burner's output is lowered to
half, and stops completely when the set stop temperature is reached (80-85
°C
). After a
short cooling phase, the burner stops and restarts automatically when the temperature
has fallen to the set temperature again.
