10. From the top side, remove the engine coolant tem-

perature (ECT) sensor connector (C), fuel injector

connector (D), manifold absolute pressure (MAP)

sensor connector (E), idle step control (ISC) connec-

tor (F), and throttle position sensor (TPS) connector

(G).

11. From the right side, disconnect the stator connector

(H) and crankshaft position sensor connector (I)

from the main harness; then disconnect the positive

cable from the starter motor and the engine ground

cable from the starter mounting flange.

12. Remove the screws securing throttle arm cover to the

throttle body; then loosen the throttle cable jam-nut

and remove the throttle cable.

13. Remove the cap screws securing the exhaust pipe to

the cylinder head; then remove the springs securing

the muffler to the exhaust pipe.

14. Remove coolant hoses (A) and (B) from the water

pump; then remove the upper coolant hose from the

thermostat housing.

15. Remove the cap screws securing the front and rear

drivelines to the output drive flange.

16. Support the engine and remove the two through bolts

securing the engine assembly to the frame; then

move the engine rearward sufficiently to disengage

the front driveline and remove the engine from the

left side.
